Pigs out: New Guinea tale hitting market

by Jeremy Hooper

When one agrees to be experimented on as a test case, they are said to be "guinea pigs." When the theme of that experiment is "Will social conservatives protest yet another pro-acceptance children's book?" and the test guineas' trial involves getting married in Massachusetts and documenting it so that children can learn about same-sex love before bias gets a chance to set in, those lil' pigs might look something like this:

Yes, that's right -- there is another pro-gay children's book that has just hit the market, Uncle Bobby's Wedding, which is more than ready to take some of the brunt of anti-gay hostility off of Heather Has Two Mommies, King & King, and And Tango Makes Three. For more on Sarah Brannen's tale of domesticated rodents entering into a domesticated monogamous coupling, check out this interview from the New England Blade:

The Very True Story of Two Guinea Pigs in Love [New England Blade]

And if you're as certain as we are that the book is a major anti-gay target awaiting attack, you can at least take heart in the fact that it's not about gerbils. God knows we gays (and Richard Gere) have suffered enough jokes and hostility regarding our supposed proclivity for those creatures!
