To do: Dance in west 50's to pull colleges from 1950's

by Jeremy Hooper

Ari Gold Ad1You know those young Equality Riders who every year hop on a bus an visit some of the nation's most homophobic colleges in order to encourage positive dialogue on LGBT issues? Well tonight in NYC, the do-gooders are holding a fundraising concert to benefit their fall 2008 ride (which kicks off October 1). Musician Ari Gold, comedian Judy Gold, staph-booted Project Runway designer Jack Mackenroth, and perennial 'Rent'er Anthony Rapp -- all will be on hand for the cause. More info at link:

Tickets are only 25 bucks, and again, the cost goes towards calling queer-antipathetic institutions out on their bullsh*t. So if you're in the area, head on out TOUCH Nightclub (240 West 52nd Street, New York, NY) and drink a drink, shake your booty, and celebrate your gay-ocity. It's activism so painless, even the "make love not war" flower children would be jealous.
