McCain chops Parsley; hangs up Hagee

by Jeremy Hooper

200805231021On March 7, we showed you a video of McCain endorser Rod Parsley spouting anti-gay nonsense. On April 23, we showed you the now-notorious quotes from John Hagee, wherein the pastor twice linked Hurricane Katrina to a local gay parade. So where do those McCain/anti-gay preacher unions stand now? Well...

...both have dissolved.

Now, it should be noted that both relationships have been publicly cold-shouldered for reasons other than the anti-gay stuff. But still, it makes us admittedly happy to learn that those who've gone to such lengths to lash out against our lives and loves have also been found to lash out vehemently against other people and faiths. It just cements our belief that when anti-gay bias exists in one's soul at an extremely heated degree, it is usually not an island onto itself. It's often accompanied by other short-sighted views. For both Hagee and Parsley, this certainly seems to be the case.

So John Mc, let us just go on record as saying right now: You might want to go ahead and reject anti-gay marriage efforts. Because even though you might not care about the impact such have on the lives of gay people, it's only a matter of time before the public starts to realize that they are also extremely hostile to the very core of American freedom.
