You're not gonna cut us today, Barber!
To the surprise of no one, "Concerned Woman" Matt Barber is already weighing in on today's amazing, fantastic, historic, world-changing ruling in California. But we're gonna give you the option: If you wanna read the ridiculous huffing and puffing, check it out below. However, if you refuse to let these "pro-family" folks get in the way of your celebrating, then we totally don't blame you.
If you care to hear about "radical" gays' desire to "dress up and play house," press on:
“The California Supreme Court has engaged in the worst kind of judicial activism today, abandoning its role as an objective interpreter of the law and, instead, legislating from the bench. It’s absurd to suggest that the framers of the California state constitution could have ever imagined there’d be a day when so-called ‘same-sex marriage’ would even be conceptualized, much less seriously considered. If anyone then had suggested the ridiculous notion, early Californians would have laughed their smocks off.
“So-called ‘same-sex’ marriage is counterfeit marriage. Marriage is, and has always been, between a man and a woman. We know that it’s in the best interest of children to be raised with a mother and a father. To use children as guinea pigs in radical San Francisco-style social experimentation is deplorable.
“The majority of Americans recognize the fact that legitimate marriage and family are cornerstones of a healthy society. Reasonable people have had enough and are refusing to allow radical extremists to redefine marriage and family into oblivion. So-called ‘same-sex marriage’ is a ridiculous and oxymoronic notion that has been forced into popular lexicon by homosexual activists and their extremist left-wing allies.
“If people who engage in homosexual behavior want to dress up and play house, that’s their prerogative, but we shouldn’t destroy the institutions of legitimate marriage and family in order to help facilitate a counterfeit.
“On a positive note, the Court’s decision today will likely serve as a wake-up call to both Californians and their fellow Americans across the country. I’m certain this decision will help fuel a California marriage amendment and re-ignite debate over a federal amendment which would protect marriage as between one man and one woman.”
Bull from a bully. Tomorrow it'll probably piss us off. Today, however, it will only make us laugh.

Your thoughts
Come now Matt, do you REALLY want to go back to 1849 for the first drafting of the CA constitution and learn about ALL of the things they'd "never even consider" with respect to the post civil rights, post women's suffrage world we live in today?
Matt...you see what happens when you don't think ideas through?

The 'dress up and play house' comment tells the story, and undoes the rest of the piece. This angry little big-man really hates gays. It's a peek at the real person, past all the sanctimonious Christian camoflage.

Larry: I've always said that Matt Barber is a liability waiting to happen for the "pro-family" movement. While his predecessor, Robert Knight, was certainly no friend, he didn't seem to take such a joy in personally bulling gays. Matt honestly seems to take a joy in it, and days like this really bring it out of him.

I bet he had this response already written months ago.

I never thought I'd see the day when I'd read something written by Matt Barber that didn't contain the phrase "male-male anal sodomy."

These same "activist judges" (and probably the most conservative court that California has ever had) are the ones who have shaped marriage to include inter-racial couples, and the same ones who gave women rights to marital assets.
Matt probably wants to go back to the good ole days, but doesn't realize just how many "Concerned Women" he would end up pissing off if he got his wish.

Remember, these are the same fundie tools who will, in November, cast their votes for a man who has been in an adulterous relationship for nearly 3 decades - at least according to their "Bible".

@Dick Mills: I don't think the "Concerned Women" understand either, what with their constant bitching about feminists. Don't they understand that without feminism, there would BE no Concerned Women for America?

All I can say to Matt and Peter and Randy and all the rest is...
LOSERS WALK!!!!

Matt Barber - That she-man, ex-gay, tough guy boxer bully, who has to work for a woman's group for the rest of his life. That is his living hell... reporting into the girls club. What loser gets fired from a good paying corporate job for berating gays and now he has to make a living trying to hurt a group of people. No wonder he is so full of hatred and venom. I would almost feel sorry for him if I didn't despise him so much. Yuk.
Remember our victory in California and Mass, and all the other states that support us with civil rights, domestic partnership, and lets not focus on loser Matt Barber. His words mean nothing and his legacy to his children will be that they forever google him and know what he really was. A loser who made his living off of Gays and Lesbians while being dominated by women. I can't stand these ex-gays who then turn on their own. Its like people who quit smoking and then tell everyone else how to behave.
