Video: By all means, let the legislature weigh in!
We already showed you one clip from last week's FRC press conference, in which Mat Staver blatantly lied about the possibility of the CA ruling leading to legalized polygamy. Now check out this clip, wherein FRC head Tony Perkins has the gall to use the word "egregious" even though it is he and his allies who are flagrantly misleading on this matter:
Oh really, Tony? You mean the same California legislature that has TWICE PASSED LEGISLATION TO LEGALIZE MARRIAGE EQUALITY?!?!?!?!!?!! Those are the ones who have been "overstepped" and left out of the marriage process? Why that's interesting, Tony, as we clearly remember you saying that when that very same body of elected representatives DID weigh in on the matter, it constituted the "highjacking of democracy."
So which is it, T-dog:
(a)the courts who are the big bad bullies
(b)the legislature is in the wrong?
or
(c) you and your socially conservative allies will simply reframe your opinions about which branch of government is in the wrong depending on what is most advantageous to your current cause?
DING, DING, DING, DING, DING, DING, DING -- we have a winner!

Your thoughts
People won't be fooled by this, Californians have nothing to fear, when the opposition come from a point of hatred, people don't want to hear it, let alone believe the lies they spew.
Just like they say: Love wins out.

On Anderson Cooper 360 Dan Savage went head to head with Tony Perkins, and basically wiped the floor with him.

When these guys are confronted and exposed as the frauds that they are, they can't win. But when they aren't challenged, their vile biased rhetoric might be convincing to some, and most certainly to those who are already predisposed toward that bias. It is really important to shed light on their manipulative flip-floppiness.

I would actually love to see more of these extremist articles and speeches given the light of day to a wide audience. Some of the hyperventillating diatribes I've read and seen this week would have singed the hair off my chest, if it hadn't been so carefully mangroomed.
