Wherein CWA readies a help wanted ad
For effect, you might want to play this sound clip while you read the following:
Listening? Okay, proceed.
After a year and a half of demonizing gays with words so vitriolic they make Fred Phelps take pause, Matt Barber is stepping down his post at The Concerned Women For America in order to take a job at Liberty University School of Law and Liberty Counsel:
Matt Barber Joins Liberty Law School and Liberty Counsel [CWA]
Can we at least get one more attack on "san Francisco values" or "newfangled gay rights" before you go, Matt? ::sigh:: We're going to miss those cornily offensive nuggets!
God(who you deny to gays)speed, Mr. Barber!
Your thoughts
Yeah, God speed and don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

Barber got canned?! There has to be a bathroom scandal or inappropriate email-trail or other infidelity somewhere in there! Or maybe he just hit the glass-ceiling for "males" at the CWA.

Maybe CWA could actually get a Concerned Woman in that job for a change. Ya think? Maybe that Donnelly woman from The Center for Military Mediocrity or whatever it's called. With DADT on its way out, she'll prolly be scoping for a new gig soon.

Conservative Groups Mount New Challenge To Calif. Gay Marriage
by The Associated Press

(San Francisco, California) A conservative Christian legal group is asking the California appeals court to temporarily prohibit gay marriages.
The Virginia-based Liberty Counsel filed court documents Thursday arguing that the California Supreme Court ruling last month legalizing gay marriages has thrown dozens of state laws addressing marriage into conflict.
Liberty Counsel lawyers argue that the gay marriages should be banned until state lawmakers can fix the alleged conflicts.
The lawyers also argue that the high court's ruling should be placed on hold until after the November elections, when California voters will decide whether to amend the state constitution to ban the unions.

This is what Dennis Herrera said about Barber's ploy:
San Francisco City Attorney Dennis Herrera ridiculed Liberty Counsel's legal move Thursday as "absurd."
"I am not aware of a process in American law that enables parties to effectively appeal a higher court ruling to a lower court," Herrera said.

This is too funny! First "Bam Bam" helps destroy CWFA's credibility, now he's moving on to bigger and better things.
"BIGGER" being the operative word - Jerry Falwell, and his own loony-versity.

I'm sorry I missed this yesterday, but it must be because the headline was wrong.
Conservative Groups Mount New Challenge To Calif. Gay Marriage....
Shouldn't that read:
Liberty Conservative Liberty Groups Mount New Liberty Challenge to California
Liberty Gay Mariage.... There that's better.
