Baseless gay hate: Caleb should've taken pause
Last night, we received this comment from recent high school graduate Caleb Smith:
Which is really just an atrocity. I mean, no comma after "all"? What's that about?! These are two independent clauses (each contain a subject, verb, and expression of a complete thought), so even in an informal web comment, they really should be set off in some way.
Shape up, Caleb! College is going to be tough if you don't come out and embrace Marks, both of the punctuation and gay varieties.

Your thoughts
Jeremy, What a kind response to an i-hate-you comment! You're a good man.

Well, what can I say? I find the high road so much more appealing.

I have a feeling poor Caleb is struggling with something else besides punctuation in his life.

Such a sad comment from somebody so young.

I agree Larry, that is exactly the type of even possibly a pre-suicide plea friends and family are to be looking for. That young man was hurt by someone and is lashing out here because he can't against whoever hurt him.

That's exactly the type of highly emotional response for which GLSEN and GSA's are formed to help and educate.

The weird thing? I've found the guy on the Internet. He seems very well-adjusted and, dare I say it, "all-American." I'd love to spend some time getting into his head and seeing where the baseless hate stems from.
Caleb, if you're out there: Join us in this conversation. We're nice people, really.
