AFA now trying to tarnish Golden Arches

by Jeremy Hooper

Well the American Family Association has yet to make the big McDonald's announcement that they've promised for today. However, we see no need to wait for the McSillies' upcoming press release. For we can exclusively reveal that because of the fast food chain's perceived support of gay rights, the AFA will later today launch this site:

Picture 34-9

Yes, that's right -- Like Disney and Ford before them, Mickey D's has become the latest American corporation to suffer at the baselessly extremist, rabidly anti-gay hands of Don Wildmon Inc. The McNugget company's "sin"? The refused to shun Vice President of Communications Richard Ellis for his decision to serve on the Board of Directors of the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC).

::sigh:: If ever there were a reason to eat carbs, gays, this just might be it!

Boycott McDonald's [AFA]

**After the jump, find the letter that set the AFA off:

**UPDATE: The AFA has now made the announcement official on their One News Now site: AFA calls for McDonald's boycott [ONN]

**UPDATE2: As Queerty points out, the AFA has made a point of saying:

What the boycott of McDonald’s IS NOT about
• This boycott is not about hiring homosexuals.
• It is not about homosexuals eating at McDonald’s.
• It is not about how homosexual employees are treated.

So it seems even they know that the boycott is gonna be seen as extremist, and are therefore trying to defuse the scrutiny. Only problem for the AFA? Their reason for boycotting is just as bad as the non-reasons! Whether it's a direct attack on gay customer or employees or an attack on particular employees role in a pro-gay capacity, this situation is still about the company supporting diversity (something the AFA resists at every turn). This war against gay support not only affects the above-listed bullet points, but also the well-being of human beings everywhere.

The AFA can issue as many caveats as the want. Those of us who support the acceptance of LGBT people as part of the spectrum of normalcy realize what their agenda is all about!

**UPDATE, 7/7: Check out some of the comments being left on the AFA's boycott site. There are some real doozies. And of course, as per usual with the AFA, all pro-gay voices are being silenced:

Your thoughts

"Ronald MacDonald is in a Domestic Partnership in New Jersey"

Please don't tell me Ronald got hitched with that creepy "king" character from the Burger King commercials!

The correct word is homosexual, not gay... check the medical dictionary. There is hope for those who seek psychological help for overcoming this disease. Treatment is available.

As far as McDonald's? Well, if they do not stay neutral then their controversy will cost them. They should have quietly bought out Richard Ellis in order to portray a neutral position.

The US has endured a rash of the immoral choices from the Liberal supreme court. Our youth is enduring a Liberal school system. The News media (except Fox) and most other programing is Liberal bias. Yet, the Conservatives remain a powerhouse, Isn't that amazing.

This homosexual issue is just one of many problems this Nation has. It is only one of the many nails in this Nation's coffin.

Another and major problem this Nation has is CENSORSHIP. What that means is if you do not agree with some information, then you do not allow the post.

I have seen that censorship a great deal. Our local paper is the king of censorship.

"There is hope for those who seek psychological help for overcoming this disease. Treatment is available."

No there isn't.

Unless you're talking about mentally/emotionally vulnerable homosexuals handing over their hard-earned money to charlatan evangelical "ex-gay" groups - which has nothing to do with psychology.

Why should they spend thousands upon thousands of dollars, and walk away with nothing but a rubber band, which they have to snap on their wrist every time they see or think about a male?

Hell, if you're that god damned stupid, I'll take your fucking money, and will give you more than a rubber band. I'll take you to the record store, and make you buy some good music for yourself; before taking your cash and making you hit the road.

Beings most queens have shitty taste in music, anyway.

How funny that you could mention censorship, Waldo, considering that the organization you are defending bans all comments from pro-gay voices. On their 'One News Now' site, they will more often than not prevent the posting of even the most benign pro-gay comments.

I don't think Ronald and the King hooked up at all, I saw a
clip online where the King shoots Ronald...maybe that's just
a distraction?

Who's the idiot that is supporting this by saying "I hate to see the looks on the kid's face when mommy say's you can't eat at McDonald's" ROFLMAO!!! Gosh, where have you been? Lets see...Burger King, Wendy's ....you act like McDonalds is the only fast food restaurant. I bet you work there or have a family member there. Why? Because 1-2% of the population are homosexual, while 25-45% are conservative Christians. Do the math. There will be communities with a majority of conservative Christians who will boycott McDonald's and those restaurants will close down. Guess the CEO doesn't care those employees or their families.
AND....what would it have hurt for McDonald's to remain neutral? To neither support nor condemn the homosexuals. It's narrow minded people like you who insist that if someone does not support your cause then they must be AGAINST it. I don't go around condemning anyone's LIFESTYLE choice...don't go around condemning me because I don't support it.

I'm sure not lovin' how McDonald's falsely claims that this boycott is motivated by hate.

I don't care if McDonald's hires gays. But when they put their full resources behind an anti-family agenda, well, I can't in good conscience give them any of my money, can I?

The family is the basis of society. That goes, society goes. A family consists of a married man and woman and their children.

Today it becomes harder to find safe and stable incomes. Smart people can always find a snug little place. Internet opportunities are unlimited and using some general knowledge and intuition you can make good money almost out of nothing.

These few years have given me valuable experience in online investing. Today I spend almost no time, as all my business process goes by itself. All I do is manage the financial flows.
Monitoring websites of investment programs are irreplaceable in this passive making money scheme:
HYIP.com – the leading online investment monitor;
GoldPoll.com – the oldest HYIP-monitor;
HYIPBanker.com – a monitors’ reviewer.
