Focus on the Family head Dr. James Dobson just cannot stop recognizing this writer's man-love! Here, look -- this is a portion of a pitch letter that just hit my snail mail box:
Dude, James -- I know you love focusing on the fact that I've found committed happiness. But this is the SECOND LETTER that you've sent to "Jeremy & Andrew Hooper" just this month alone! And, uhm, well -- your desire to recognize my same-sex union is starting to seem a tad overbearing.
Oh, but while I have your ear, Dr. Dobson: I do think there are a few extra words that you might wanna strike from your pitch. If you go back and look at your pledge line which I've highlighted on the left side -- shouldn't you really cut out the "the lives so" part and instead just ask your contributors if they "want to make a difference in hurting families"? That is, after all, what you and your organization are doing to families like mine!

BTW, you should redact the barcode as well, otherwise a motivated person could easily decode your zip5+4, and probably narrow down your address to a few houses.
