Perhaps they mean 'roast' of the Friar's Club variety?

by Jeremy Hooper

Picture 12-61And now in "Just to remind you that we still have a ways to go" news: A Boston area newsbox holding copies of the New England Blade was last week desecrated with the words "Roast Alive All Queers":

Anti-Gay Epithet Scrawled on NEB Newspaper Box [NE Blade]

Frightening to gays, anti-cannibals, vegetarians, and those who think roasting dries out whatever protein you're coking!

Though it's not a surprising message from such a perpetrator, as anyone who would hold such hate in their heart clearly traded good taste for unpalatable bullsh*t long, long ago.

Your thoughts

The anonymity of the internet has kept me from ever feeling safe and secure with my sexuality. It's completely too common to encounter death threats and hate-filed messages online.

A brine and a quick blanching will keep us moist and tender.

Where is it? I want to see it first hand. I'm assuming it's deep in Roxbury or maybe in the midst of chinatown.

At the Forest Hills MBTA stop in Jamaica Plain. But I can't imagine it's still there.

There has also been anti-gay epithats scrawled on phone booths in the Chelsea area for weeks. No one has removed them yet.
