Thomasson: School 'Milk' will turn your kids gay
Randy Thomasson, whose Campaign For Children and Families organization (in a piece likely written by Randy himself) once compared those CA county clerks who have to perform same-sex marriages with those Nazi officers who were once forced to "gas the Jews," is continuing to demonstrate his penchant for flawed comparison. This time, it's by linking a legislatively-approved day of distinction honoring slain gay rights leader Harvey Milk to a hypothetical day of Randy's own design in which California school kids would be forced to show up in drag and watch a "Queer as Folk" marathon while pledging allegiance to a pride flag. This from a newly-issued press release:
"If signed into law, AB 2567 will mean an official day commemorating homosexuality, bisexuality, and transsexuality in California government schools," said CCF President Randy Thomasson. "This will harm children as young [sic] kindergarten. Every May 22, AB 2567 will positively portray to children homosexual experimentation, homosexual 'marriages,' sex-change operations, and anything else that's 'in the closet.' Governor Schwarzenegger should say no to this very inappropriate bill, which has nothing to do with academic excellence."

"AB 2567 will further motivate parents to remove their children from the immoral public school system," said Thomasson. "We're encouraging parents to visit RescueYourChild.org to learn how to save their children while they still can. With public schools becoming sexual indoctrination centers, homeschooling and church schools are no longer parental options, they're parental imperatives."
Well he didn't make a play on words involving "homeschooling" and "homo schooling." So points for restraint there.
But as for everything else? GOOD GOD, WHY DO THESE PEOPLE THINK WE'RE OUT TO REPLACE "READING, WRITING, AND ARITHMETIC" WITH "SEX, SEX, AND CHER"?!?! After all, considering the mutant strains of ignorance that have kept our community demonized for so long, there are probably no people more in favor of increased education than the gays!

I suppose Ready would have us believe that we should all wear black face makeup on MLK Day and we will all become the same ethnic minority as MLK.
I checked out the Equaility California link and noticed that in their synopsis of the bill, they used the words "encouraged" and "suitable". If the discription that Randy says would happen, well, I sure do not want to go to that school. Somehow, the word "encourage" does not mean to force feed something.
