'Young' man espousing tired ol' claims

by Jeremy Hooper

If you wish to assert that "most Americans are fat and stupid" in a way that makes it sound as if you're an all-knowing prophet who falls outside of that bulbous bubble of ignorance, then it's probably best to ensure that you don't go on just a half of a sentence later to incorrectly write the word "course" as "coarse."

That is but one thought that comes to mind when reading the following comment, which we received over night:

200808050746

Folks who sound like puppets? People who waste time and money on amendments? The idea that the world is tiring quickly of the issue? Intolerance that is taught at home"? Gee, Mr. Young: Are you sure it's the pro-gay side you're describing?

Your thoughts

He sure knows a lot about barebacking and its related internet sites. Not to mention straight people don't normally use the term.

Well, I wouldn't say that most of America fat and dumb, but from this comment, we now know that some of America is ignorant and grammar-impaired.

Talk about stupid.

This kind of person is the reason the South is riddled with HIV -- "straight" sex couldn't possibly infect someone with an STD! XD Moron.

Where's this kid getting his "facts"? Paul Cameron? Even if the 8-20 years stat was true, recent articles point out that the lifespan of HIV + people (gay or STRAIGHT) is approaching what is a normal lifespan for the general population. It's by no means an easy or fun virus to have, but if we're just talking about mortality, that's changed considerably.

Oh! G.A.Y. just got rick-rolled!

What, JeffRob? How so?

There are too many flaws in that argument and not enough time to address them. Maybe Mr. Young should examine his own obvious flaws first, like publishing such rubbish laden with bad statistics.

No he didn't. There was no link to a Rick Astley video.

Poor choices and low self-esteem = gay?

Wrong website, Rick Young. That would be Exodus International which you're referring to. They're called "ex-gays", not "gays".

And speaking of poor choices - it's a shame that Rick Young obviously made the choice of dicking off and daydreaming about bareback sex, when he was supposed to be paying attention in English class.

Be sure to take note - this is the same kinda guy who a couple weeks ago, opened fire in a TN Universalist church (due to his poor choices and low self-esteem).

Yeah, he sure knows a lot about barebacking... O.o

If only he knew more about "making sense".

I've never met a 'gay' or anyone else who actually got mad when told unprotected safe could lead to STDs. On the other hand, I've encountered plenty of straights who think they're immune to AIDS because it's a gay disease. I think that's a bit worrying for a few reasons.

Um....the guy's name is Rick. I don't know.. thought it was funny :(
