Report: D.C. might Deliver Committments
According to The Washington Blade, the District of Columbia might be among the next jurisdictions to take up marriage equality:
D.C. may take up gay marriage bill in ‘09 [Wash Blade]
The 2009 initiative very much hinges on the failure of gay marriage bans at the polls in the 2008 election, the Democratic party's overall electoral success, and whether or not the world possesses enough sage that can be burnt to rid D.C. of the anti-gay spirits left behind behind the Bush administration. Fingers crossed!
