Autumn in (a hopeful, pro-gay) New York
I, Jeremy, would like to take a second to thank the wonderful Empire State Pride Agenda for again having me and my partner fiancé as guests at their annual Fall Dinner. As to be expected from this fine organization, the night was a super-inspiring way to spend a midtown Manhattan evening. Good vibes, strong speeches, flowing beverages -- what's not to like?
Whoopi ably steered the ship. Kelli O'Hara, with a night off from South Pacific, brought her brand of cockeyed optimism to ESPA's enchanted evening. And both ESPA's Alan Van Capelle and NY Gov. David Paterson brought the crowd to their feet with fiery and unapologetic calls for more and greater LGBT gains. They made the crowd feel good about being an LGBT New Yorker living in 2008, and optimistic about continuing on as an LGBT New Yorker for the years to come.
For more on the Pride Agenda's tireless efforts on behalf of LGBT equality, check out both their main site and their regularly updated blog:

Your thoughts
Was that ALAN Van Cappelle she had the 'menopausal' moment about? Sounds like fun, glad you were included...we all think of you as MR. NEW YORK GAY! out here in the west and burbs! Still no pic with you know who...
