Although I didn't tout the fact that I was gay, some people knew. I spent eight years in the Navy in the sixties and seventies, got seven commendations, made six patrols on a Polaris submarine, and was the Leading Petty Officer(LPO) of the missile division for two patrols. So don't tell me that gay people can't serve honorably!!!
By-the-way, we had 100% uptime on those sixteen missiles during my time as LPO. So put that in your smoke and pipe it!

Jim: Thanks for sharing your story! There are countless men and women like yourself who have served our country with honor. Now its time to let them all served without fear.
