Shirl the nonpartisan
We've seen her denounce Barack Obama as the anti-Christ. But does that mean Shirley Phelps-Roper are her fellow Westboro Baptist Church members are throwing their support to John McCain, Ralph Nader, Cynthia McKinney, or Bob Barr?
Let's see what Shirley had to say when we asked her as much:
I already voted. My travel schedule is so unpredictable that I just voted early so I would not miss out. As for the president - I voted for Little Luke Jonathan and for vice president, I voted for Noah Abraham. I figured those two little guys would do as good as the drunks we have running things now. :)
I just returned from Chicago. We went for the Hudson/King, etc. funerals and we took our God Hates Obama sign and boy were those people mad! We were in the hood don't you know and they told us to get those signs back over to Cicero (I know that street because I have been in Chicago so many times in recent years - it is the street that you are on to get to Midway Airport if you happen to be flying an airline that lands there. I'm a little unclear why we should take the signs there, but one and all got the same answer - "SHUT YOUR MOUTH AND GET A BIBLE, CRACK IT, READ THE WORDS and OBEY YOUR GOD!!" Or if they were driving fast AND throwing a cosmetic item at me, they just got a plain old - "OBEY YOUR GOD!" It was most amazing - but I do believe for the first time, those black people on the South Side of Chicago (I sang them a few verses of that song along the way :) did not give a rat's backside about Thank God for Dead Soldiers OR about us standing on the flag - but they were raging mad about the God Hates Obama. YIKES! So many words - angry words - and along the way I had to realize that until he is actually elected, they a certain number of them would just consider it a McCain vs Obama - so we had to work overtime to tell them one and all that God also hates McCain! BUT we are not wasting time on him, as he is not That Wicked that God is going to have to preside of the final destruction of this nation!
Hmmm...Luke & Noah? Where else have we heard those names recently?
Oh yea. Them. Interesting coincidence, Shirl.
Your thoughts
You should include clips like that EVERY time you do a post on the Phelps cult. Something to wash away that nauseous feeling we get everytime we read quotes from them.
