Yo Randy: You've won nothing, pal!
California's Randy Thomasson, whose organization (in a piece likely written by Randy himself) earlier this year compared clerks who have to marry gays to Nazi officers who were forced to gas Jews, has a few thoughts on Prop 8's apparent passage. Read them and gag:
"Today, marriage licenses can only go to whom they were originally intended -- a man and a woman, a bride and a groom. The people of California have successfully overruled the judges and politicians and restored marriage licenses to a man and a woman. Now the false marriages done this summer must be declared null and void. California law now says the only valid or recognized marriage 'is' between a man and a woman. The ballot arguments specify that the only marriages are between a man and a woman, 'regardless of when or where performed.' It is time for all Californians to respect the new marriage law, which has restored an age-old institution, whether they voted for or against Prop. 8."
"It's appalling that President-elect Barack Obama, as a Democrat, opposed the voter-initiated Prop. 8 and plans to import homosexual 'marriages' into every state by repealing the federal Defense of Marriage Act. Every U.S. citizen, U.S. Representative, and U.S. Senator who believes in states' rights must oppose Obama's terrible idea."
Our response:
"Same-sex marriage is as much a reality today as it was on Monday. The tipping point has been reached. Randy, your 'wins' mean nothing. Sure they are mindless, time-wasting roadblocks that annoy the ever-loving poop out of us, but the affronts are only temporary. There is no Achilles heel that will ever kill the march towards equality.
We have two states whose marriage equality is going nowhere, a couple more states that very well may have full marriage equality by next year, a sizable body of dedicated LGBT people who make up a vibrant part of this country's fabric, and a young population who is with us on this issue in great and growing numbers. We also have a judicial system that, no matter how much your side offends the very notion of American governance by writing off its practitioners as 'activist,' will always understand its role in deciding civil rights matters. Our loss is simply not possible. Not ultimately.
Prop 8 should be respected? Gay people should be denied? President-elect Obama should become more like the divisive folks who foist faith about civil equality? Well Randster, those ideas are about as crazy as opportunistically linking a government worker's lawful duties to painful Holocaust imagery!"

Your thoughts
Fucking assholes. I knew the next step was to try and crush any existing gay marriages. A bunch of retarded xians got their panties in knots at CourageCampaign's Mormon invasion video where they forced their way into a lesbian house and stole the rings/ripped the marriage license, criticizing it for being an attack ad.
THIS PROVES IT WAS 100% FUCKING ACCURATE, although it applies to all interfering religions, not just Mormons. You bastards. You filthy, fucking, vile bastards. I have an overwhelming, urgent, painful desire to kill each and every single one of you. However, bringing myself down to your level would accomplish nothing positive for society, and silencing you would be detrimental to freedom of speech, but honestly, you might as well have given every LGBT person in the world a slap in the face and a resound 'fuck you'.
Die in a fire, all of you.

Keep laughing Randy-boy. You, like all the other bigoted cockroaches will go down in history as an amoral religious fanatic and enemy of equal rights. On that day I will heartily laugh while dancing on your grave. FUCK YOU Randy Thomasson!

And now they play the victim card on our ever so rightful outrage...

Dream on Randy. Dream on. While you're at it, talk to your doctor about those delusions you're obviously having.

I noticed this at the top of the site you linked to Daimon:
"I was really hoping that the gay activists would be gracious losers when it came to the issue of Prop 8, especially here in California, but as I have spent part of my day looking at their reaction, I have to say that my heart is grieved."
Gracious losers? What does she think this is, a fucking sports event or something! Get a clue bitch! You're screwing around with people's lives!!

Good venting responses....but just dig in the do the work. Help everyone who is out and get others OUT...especially celebrities...get them talking, keep them talking about how proud and happy you are to be gay. I do feel the CSC will find Prop 8 unconstitutional...how long they take to do it, who knows.
Until then there is even another COUNTRY you can soon go to...SWEDEN should have full marriage equality by next May, per news out today.

That's just it John, these people don't have a clue. Our lives don't affect theirs one iota which is why it's so easy for them to dismiss us as a minority. So until our plight affects them they will continue to live in la la land. Which is why I intend to (John 3:16) do unto them as they have done unto us, and put up another ballot measure to amend the state constitution to say "Marriages shall consist of a union between one man and one woman until death of a spouse" Or maybe, "Marriage shall only be recognized in the place of worship of the man and woman and shall construe no legal status, benefits, or rights in the state of ____"
