AFI list: 1 in 10 are gay
Powerful gay-centric flick Milk has been named one of the American Film Institute's 10 best films of 2008:

But given that the ruling was made by an American body of judges, forgive us if we refuse to accept it for a few months. For all we know, some rival religious film will soon throw one of its props -- like maybe the eighth one, for instance -- at the honored film, robbing it of its current status. After all, if '08 has taught us anything, it's that gays aren't allowed to have anything positive in their lives until a mob of bullies have had a chance to voice their tyrannical disproval.
Not that we're bitter or anything.
