Audio: I Can't Believe It's Not Buttars (whose rhetoric is condemned by religious people)
**UPDATE, 3/5: For whatever reason, the following audio has been pulled from ABC 4's site. You can still find truncated versions of Buttars words on the Internet. However, we haven't been able to find the full audio anywhere. Which is a shame, because it really deserves to be heard.
In a forthcoming documentary called "8: The Mormon Proposition," Utah state senator Chris Buttars, a longtime 'mo foe, says the following "charming" things about gay folk:

Think the words about gays being society's biggest threat are frightening? Well consider this: This man was elected. As in chosen above other choices. Three times.
Ugh. If you'll excuse me, I need to go purge my soul of the contaminants I just allowed to enter in via the ear canal.

Your thoughts
the gays are extremely organized and aggressive? we are? if that was the case we would have made a lot more progress than we have already. this guy is an idiot and he's probably the sexually perverted one. any moment now he'll be caught Larry Davis style. mark my words....

John: Yea, I always find it funny how these folks present us as both (a) immoral party animals who don't care about about and (b) a monolithic team of brilliant political minds who do nothing but scheme up new gay rights pushes. Which is it?!

Chris Buttars is a miserable wretch. Just look at his countenance. There is absolutely no love or goodness conveyed by this creepy man.

"The ACLU, Bless their black hearts..." - WTF?

Even when the spotlight is on him, Buttars can't help making shit up. Check this out:

Buttars lied. Eric caught it. And now everyone is going to know Buttars is a liar, but he knows nothing is going to happen, because in Utah, apparently the only thing you're allowed to flaunt is the law:

Quote:
"When State Commerce Department Director Francine Giani was asked by The Salt Lake Tribune this week if she would do anything about the anti-gay group America Forever for spending and soliciting money even though its registration as a nonprofit had lapsed, she said she didn't want to ding the group, but would send it a 'cordial' letter."
Good grief. You break the law in Utah, and the only consequence is a friendly note from the folks who are paid to enforce the rules?
How many people have to notice before Dept. of Commerce Dir. Francine Giani decides to do her job? Does she even know what her job is?

You know it's bad when even Utah's Fox13 is calling Buttars out as a liar:

Leave it to a perverted old prune to educate us homosexicals on depraved sex acts.
I love it how these so-called "christians" demonize gay people as immoral, yet know (and speak loudly) about some of the craziest fetishes that most gay people wouldn't talk about, much less partake in.
If it wasn't for Peter LaBarbera, half of us would never know the joys of leather, piss, and getting beaten black and blue for thrills.

I totally know what this guy is talking about. The gays are taken over by the radicals. The protesting gays are totally making the rest of us look bad. I was so at a gay pride meeting once and they were like stuffing white powder down the hollowed out posts of their signs. Those protest signs totally need to be reported to homeland security.
