Pushy AFA pledges more
The American Family Association has created cards that they are asking their followers to hand out to friends and loved ones. The cards encourage folks to join the AFA in their anti-gay, anti-progressive crusades, part of a campaign that they are calling:
Project Push Back Cards [AFA]
We say: FINALLY -- the AFA has agreed to only push our backs! That's a nice respite from the soul-punches that they've been directing our way for the past few decades! It'll give us a chance to heal a little.
As for us? Well while they're pushing us in our backs, we'll continue to dodge the unprovoked shoves as we continue our quest to "PULL FORWARD" American society. After the years of Push Back from the Bush Pack, our progressive march is desperately needed!
Your thoughts
"Push Back" sounds a little like incitement! It sounds much more like a call to violent, physical altercation to me. And, while many of those people need little prodding, the slightly less unhinged of them could see this as marching orders. That tinderbox doesn't need any more incendiary rhetoric.

I agree with Dick. It also sounds pretty childish to me, implying that they have been pushed somehow and now they will retaliate. WWJD indeed.

Through research and overviewing of the AFA I have come to the personal conclusion that they are a fascist group led by not a person but an idea. This idea is "Extreme Christian Theocratic Conservatism". Basically an overall statement that we of the AFA believe that this nation should be run by a bible and anyone who is against the bible should die.
These people are people who honestly don't know what they are talking about. They had a discussion on the stimulus bill and were spouting "facts" that were non-existent. They also thought that America being in debt with China was like any kind of debt in America where if you don't pay the collectors will come and harass you for the money stating that if we don't have the money because of this stimulus bill and they want it then we could go to war with China. First, national debt does not work that way at all. Second, America would never go to war with China, or as they liked to call it "Red China" (Cold war is over people). Third, how dumb do you have to be to not realize that this country is in a national economic crisis as bad as the Great Depression.
Mainly I have found that AFA are mainly just a bunch of radical homophobes that should be watched carefully. You must never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers.
