Advancing hate's regression: House comes through

by Jeremy Hooper

The House passed inclusive hate crimes legislation by a bipartisan 249-175 vote:

U.S. House Passes Inclusive Hate Crimes Bill [HRC]

Now it's on to the Senate, then to President Obama. Or if you're one who opposes the measure, it's on to returns department where you trade in your failed lies about preachers being punished, speech being stifled, and everything under the sun being a sexual orientation for ones that people might actually buy.

Your thoughts

My Rep... voted against again. Embarassed....again. Wrote to him and newspaper... again.
Stomach upset... again.
But at least it passed.

I know it's a horrible thought, but if I were ever to find myself in a room with any one of the reps that voted against it, I'd punch them right in the fucking middle of their mugs.

Needless to say, I'm happy it passed.

I think it´s a great decision. I was not sure if it will really pass, but now I´m happy. It´s, at least, a big step in the right direction!
