Video: Rick Warren is bearing false witness. Period.
Wanna get annoyed all over again? Well listen to the first ten minutes of this:
Lest anyone forget:
"No, I don't dislike gays. I just don't think they should 'act on' their truths, even if homosexuality's found to be biological. And I'll compare their orientations with behaviors like promiscuity":
"No, I didn't campaign for Prop 8. Except for the fact that I TOTALLY F***IN' DID! In a major, widely distributed, as-direct-as-you-can-get way":
"No, I didn't really say all of the following. This completely unedited video in which I explicitly likened gay marriage to pedophilia, polygamy, and incest was somehow unfairly edited to make me look bad":
Uh-huh. Right, pastor.
Rick Warren, you are deliberately obfuscating the truth in order to save face. It is not gonna work.

Your thoughts
Rick Warren is dead wrong when he says ‘one man & one woman’ is the universal definition of marriage for 5,000 years. Even his own Scriptures the Bible does not define marriage that way. Moses, David, etc. were ‘married’ to more than one woman, had more than one wife. He either doesn’t know scripture or he is a liar. He is “Bearing false witness...” which is breaking one of the 10 Commandments. As far as this Christian can tell, there are no ‘red letter’ or underlined commandments, they are all the same. And bearing false witness against your neighbor is the same as committing adultery, murder, or stealing. Rather than accusing Mr. Warren of being ignorant or even stupid, I think he is being hypocritical. And the only people Jesus ever condemned out of hand were hypocrites or those who acted hypocritically. It is obvious to me that Pastor Warren does not believe, contrary to what Scripture says, that God saved the World. I am sure that he, Pastor Warren, believes that he is saved but the rest of us who disagree with him, but follow what Scripture says are going to Hell. But what do I know, I am only a poor ordained Christian minister of 35 years, who never wrote a best selling book, or made it big on TV.

He kind of makes fun of himself in the third video when he points out that we all focus on other people's sins. One of the seven deadly sins is gluttony, and Rick Warren is fat - a glutton.
I agree that he's bearing false witness, but before we even get there, we can't forget that he's committing one of the seven deadly sins. Before he worries about our mote-sized sin (according to the Bible), maybe he should worry about his board-sized gluttony.
