Audio: God[who you deny to gays]speed, 'Liberty Live'
You know that "Liberty Live" radio show from which we sometimes bring you snippets. Well good news, lovers of audio that doesn't make your ears bleed/blood boil/eyes cry. It was announced yesterday that American Family Radio, the folks who distributed Matt Barber and Mat Staver's lil' show, have abruptly pulled the plug on the venture:
Ah. Who now is going to reliably give us content from 4-5Pm every weekday?
But of course the boys aren't going out without a few more of the ridiculous nuggets that surely kept them from finding an audience in the first place. Ya know, nuggets like the idea that tax-paying gay Americans are nothing but petulant children whose demands for civil equality should be compared to a youngster's temper tantrum:
Okay bye now. Don't let the microphone trip you on your way out.
We would say "peace out." But that would seem to be a phrase more befitting your first broadcast day than your last.

Wow! First LaBarBear can't pay his internet domain registration fees, and now it seems apparent that the L-boys aren't garnering enough of a paying support base to keep them spewing their bile either.
Well, let's hear it for the plug-pullers! In this great country or ours, everyone enjoys freedom of speech, but that doesn't mean that it's free. In a world of economic downturn, it is good to see that strapped pocketbooks first eliminate the most meaningless and wasteful spending, before cutting back on essentials.
Of course, most of those fundies could stand to cut back on the calories as well. Maybe Barber new austerity will result in him downsizing into a size 16 frock. And, I wonder if Staver's lavish new "motor-bike" purchase is resulting in some buyer's remorse? The fringe of hatemongery seems to be feeling the economic pinch, hopefully the rest of the lying liars will soon fall prey to it as well.
I wonder how much of that "faith based initiatives" funding they WERE getting, and now are not?? The answer to that question could be of paramount preeminence in their choice of attacking this new administration. They may be left with only the severed, shriveled husk of the once healthy governmental teat from which they had been suckling. And, who knows, if it's true, then maybe Obama has already done us a great service??

Clearly, AFR is a hate group that limits freedom of speech; these two innocent men have been stripped of their constitutional rights. It's a sad day when AFR engages in jackbooted censorship.
I haven't been this upset about censorship since they canceled The Father Dowling Mysteries.
