Enjoying sweet labor-fruits

by Jeremy Hooper

Picture 6 Some days are for advocating. Other days are for celebrating.

Your humble scribe and his beloved just left a CT town hall, marriage license in hand. It feels really, really great.

There's no stopping this peace train. Not mine, not yours -- not anyone's!

*UPDATE: For those who have asked: The actual wedding day is 6/13.

Congrats! Which one of you is pregnant?! :) That is always the first thing I hear when one of the nieces or nephews announces their pending nuptials. It's been a long time coming, but you guys have made my day.

When's the big day?

Congratulations! Best of luck to you and your soon-to-be husband :D

Well Maggie has until 6/13 to find a dress, John. That's the big day.

The most interesting part of the licensing process? How thoroughly uninteresting and non-"controversial" it all is. We had the sweetest town clerk who was nothing but happy for us. And the process, civil in every sense of the word, really drove this all home in a way that even my years of marriage advocacy could not.
