I love it because he knows what's RIGHT.

I hate it because I know the Far-RIGHT will use it as a way to scream indoctrination.

Yes, he's adorable and all but I can't help but think about how annoyed I get when I see people on the other side of the issue using their kids in exactly the same fashion. I don't think either instance is OK.

Lionel,

I completely agree that using kids for cheap emotional appeal is deplorable no matter what the side. However, from what I can see, this kid actually seems to be concerned about the issue, and I don't think it's right to tell a nine year-old to stop standing up for what he believes in just because he's nine. Kids can be a lot smarter and more aware than people give them credit for.

I won't be surprised if conservatives made a commercial to deny gay marriage by spinning this as a example of how kids are being taught gay marriage.

LIONEL, from the story I read, this was all Ethan's idea. Apparently the story of the policeman pushing a glass in a gay man's face last summer affected him. He probably started asking questions and ...
