Video: That hippity-hop that the kids all love
It's like a scary flashback to this bad trip:
But we of course prefer this one:
Young Con Anthem [YT]
Your thoughts
oh, my Sweet Lordy-Gordy.
Y'know, the guys in the first video are sorta cute (not as cute as Andy Samberg, but still), but...I kept waiting for a tipoff that it was a parody, and it never came.
The second one was truly horrifying.

I, too, was really hoping that the 'Young Con' video was a parody. Sadly, it seems from their website that the parody is entirely unintentional. Not only do they try to usurp the legacy of MLK for the conservative movement, but they repeat the maddening meme that it's conservatives and Christians who are the truly marginalized. They actually see themselves as fighting for "tolerance" for Christians in American society. Whether that makes them deluded or just douches, I'm not sure.

So apparently I'm not a real Christian because I support marriage equality and a woman's right to choose. Not that I like abortion, but I don't think anyone really does.

Probably not deluded, so...the second one.

The Young Cons are not the only ones doing rap videos! I invite all supporters of marriage equality to check out this video on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRNRdzRxAgk. The rap is called NEVER DISAPPEAR, and it is an anthem for the fight for marriage equality in California and all over the US. Half of the proceeds from the purchase of NEVER DISAPPEAR will go to the Courage Campaign. Anyone wanting to make a difference can go to www.digstation.com/neverdisappear to download it for 99 cents. We should all take this opportunity to do something easy in the fight for equality!

Am I the only white person who wants to apologize to the African-American community when uber-white people rap?

Ayn Rand and.... Jesus?!
What? Don't we all have access to wikipedia at this point? Jesus would be considered a radical blood-sucking Trotskyist by today's standards. And MLK? Good luck trying to usurp that, goons.
There's probably more conservatives on a Rosie O'Donnell trans family cruise ship than in the entirety of hip-hop fandom.
Major lulz, neocons, well played.
