Which came first: Linda's need to condemn homicidal chicken or desire to shun homo egg?
Wow. Just wow:
“...[I]t is deplorable [the Tel Aviv shooting] is already being used by the homosexual community to blame this act on those holding a traditional moral viewpoint. Israelis, just as anyone else on earth, should still have the right to oppose homosexuality for religious or other reasons without being called accessories to murder. The motive is still unknown; why engage in slanderous speculation?
“Are those who bravely stand up against the deviance of homosexuality—which violates the dignity and worth of those involved -- responsible for all crime against those drawn to the lifestyle? This kind of bigotry has no place in a civilized society and is wildly irresponsible, unjust and inaccurate.”
...
“It’s tragic that any teens go to these centers, and we remain unequivocally opposed to their purpose, which is to legitimize this behavior and draw young people into claiming a homosexual identity, often without parental involvement or knowledge. ” Harvey said. “Yet the reason we have for our opposition, is because of the harm homosexuality will do in these precious lives. I don’t know any pro-family conservatives who would wish more harm to come into these young lives. We are in the business of trying to help them avoid the risks simply by proclaiming there’s a better way.”
She added, ”No one needs to be involved in homosexuality, but unfortunately, these two young people can no longer hear that message.
“Our greatest hope for all youth is that they live long and healthy lives. These kids’ chance to do that has been stolen from them. Our prayers are with their families in this time of loss.”

(H/t: Joe.My.God)
Lest you think it's just "till death do us part" that many of these professional anti-gays are after. Their attempts to RIP us tend to hold no peace, even after we've been laid to rest.
**UPDATE: Linda's venomous words needed no explanation. But she's offered one anyway [G-A-Y]
Your thoughts
First: So Ms Harvey is miffed that that two murdered kids can no longer hear her message that their lives lacked dignity or worth?
Second: F*ck her.
Third: F*ck her.

Isn't Linda one of the founding members of Christians United for National Theocracy?

I don't have a gay child, but I have had the pleasure of mentoring gay teens myself. I love them, I'd do anything to protect them, and many PFLAG parents are my friends and neighbors.
I don't often want to do any name calling, or give any oxygen to too much anger.
But the protective woman in me wants to tear this woman's face off and feed it to her for saying such a thing!
Can you blame me?

She decries the "bigotry" of suggesting anti-gay bigotry may have been to blame for the shooting? That's rich.
She "bravely" refers to LGBT people as deviants who have less dignity and worth than heterosexuals, and shouldn't even be allowed to have a place to meet each other-yet she can't imagine how such a repugnant attitude might lead someone to think it's acceptable to open fire on LGBT people. She publicly, and repeatedly, says things that devalue LGBT people. She even has the gall to trivialize the murders of gay teens by saying, "It's a shame they died before WE had the chance to verbally condemn them."
Someone needs to tell Linda Harvey there's a "better way". No one needs to be involved in Anti Gay Organizations. She can lead a happy, rewarding life without ever condemning Gays and Lesbians. She can come out of the Bigoted Asshole Lifestyle, which cause harm to her brain cells and renders her a thoroughly reprehensible human being. If only there was a reparative therapist who could help her.

Regan, your reaction was mild compared to mine.

...I'm shocked speechless. I truly am.

What a disgusting, worthless, bag of bones she is. Just when you think that you have heard it all, the vile beast opens it's mouth again, spewing out ever more putrid bile. I used to feel pity for her. Perhaps needlessly, but the way she stands in that photo looks like she is in pain. Also looks like her face is about to break with that frozen smile. But, it's hard to feel empathy for one who is so clearly devoid of it herself. Still, what a sad and pathetic world she chooses to live in. And, what a blemish she is on the complexion of humanity.

"Are those who bravely stand up against the deviance of homosexuality—which violates the dignity and worth of those involved -- responsible for all crime against those drawn to the lifestyle?"
Well if we use the illogic employed by her allies like The Peter, than in a word: YES. After all, if every homosexual is to be blamed for whatever nonsense some gay person does, real or imagined, and furthermore this therefore means all LGBTs must be denied full rights, then the same illogic would seem to apply in this case.
Fortunately for Harvey and her pals, this isn't a view I happen to hold myself but it is nice to throw hoist them upon their own petards now and then.

Dick Mills said it all. This woman is in a lot of pain. Sad and pathetic.

This woman really has her priorities out of order.
Two kids are *dead*.
And she's using their deaths to further demonize the community to which they belonged.
Sickening.

It sad and ironic that her words leave me thinking that it was probably some one with that very type of reasoning who went out and committed this crime against gay youth.

Looks like Ms Harvey's day has been ruined, simply ruined by all the "outrageous" calls and emails she has been getting. She blames Joe My God and even goes as far as to accuse Joe of slander. I think she meant to say libel, but because she's a stupid puta forced to go through life looking slightly less attractive than Marilyn Quayle, I'll give her a break on that one.

Notice how after she finishes accusing Joe of being a liar she once again expresses her disappointment that two kids died before she could tell them all about their "sinful disorder".

I totally agree with Donna.
Someone killed them.
Does anyone "deserve" to be killed?
No!
In Linda Harvey's world view of right and wrong, if you are not on "her" side (god's, that is) you are not worthy of anything at all, including living a life where you are actually breathing.
I am sure that there are people, family and friends that will still be mourning these two and ask why. There is also a good chance there are some of their friends and family who will not care about Linda's view point and certianly will find no "comfort" in that.
They are too busy mourning.

After all that, she offers prayers.
I loathe that bitch.

I'm in Tel Aviv -- lived here for almost two years now. It's true that we don't yet know who was responsible for the shooting. It could have been a religious bigot, or it could have been an anti-Israeli terrorist act, or it even could have been an angry gay person -- we just don't know. What we do know is that two wonderful people are dead, and that the religious fundies aren't really all that unhappy about it. And we don't feel safe. And I'm angry and sad.
Linda Harvey sucks.

What a vile excuse for a human being.
TRiG.

So why is it that nitwits like this constantly whine about "Christian persecution" when "missionaries" are attacked and/or killed for going into openly hostile territory to push their religion on others? The indigenous cultures and religious traditions of the area have the right to oppose Christianity for religious or other reasons, blah blah blah blah.....

It's frightening how she almost justifies the death of these kids by almost shifting the blame to the LGBT community. Like, "if this place didn't exist, if people didn't tell them it was okay to be gay, if they remained closeted and pretended to be straight and led miserable lives on the inside so that people - like us - who have never met them but judge them regardless can claim victory and be happy, then they wouldn't have been in a place they got shot".
This is the interpretation I got from this woman. Her assertion that "we all know it's a choice" is repulsive. THERE IS NO CHOICE IN ORIENTATION. I do not wake up on a daily basis and CHOOSE to like men (as a straight woman). My friend Karl does not wake up on a daily basis and CHOOSE to like men (as a gay man). Sure, our actions are our own choices, but there is no harm is CHOOSING to accept yourself and see yourself as nothing more than equal to your peers, straight or gay. I choose to have sex - but I do not choose who I am attracted to or who I fall in love with. CHOOSING to pretend your orientation doesn't exist is detrimental and unhealthy, and the fact that this woman supports stiffling one's actual self is pathetic.
On behalf of all normal sane straights, I'd like to apologize. I swear, we aren't all this obsessed with gay sex like Linda and Peter. I think their obsession with what gays do in the privacy of their own bedrooms is a direct result with the unhappiness they find in their own relationships.
