Hungry for victory: Maine faithful deny selves of food in hopes of denying gays of wedding cake

by Jeremy Hooper

We were too busy gorging ourselves on pizza (with our gay spouses) to notice that this event began yesterday in the state of Maine:

We, not to be outdone, will lick every last morsel off of every last one of our plates, in hopes of harnessing enough energy to stave off those who wish to starve us of our fair share of equality pie. After all, there will be plenty of time to diet after the election, but no way to shave off the empty calories of bias, should we be to weak to stick a fork in it!

Your thoughts

Yes, make a small sacrifice by staying with that wife you hate and want to divorce and in that manner retain the sanctity of marriage.

MariusHR - on their website they have a special link for annulments - with them you pay the money they make it go away - I know several families that the catholic church have broken up and said "it never happened" - what about those poor children - of course the "catlicks" have an answer for that - I suppose somewhere along the line Jesus came back and told them they could sell annulments! Jeez!

I hope someone bakes cookies or has a barbecue or something right by those churches. I hope it hurts.

For a lot of them, the money they save on food could amount to a substantial sum, and the yesonone group is probably already counting on all of those donations.

Two hands at work do more than a thousand clasped in prayer.

Catholics (and some other churches) did this same thing in California during Prop. 8. And of course, in Maine as in California, where are the pro-equality churches? Where are our fasts, prayer vigils, etc.? Why are radical anti-gay activists allowed to portray themselves as the only voice for God?
