Video: How to Be Taken Aback, America
Brian Camenker's MassResistance organization is so extreme in its homo-hostility that it is one of only eleven to have been chosen to appear on the Southern Poverty Law Center's anti-gay hate groups list. Yet that little nugget of anti-civil, anti-rights trivia didn't stop the organizers of this past weekend's so-called "How To Take Back America Conference" from inviting Brian to unironically speak on the subject of countering "the homosexual extremist movement":
Schlafly - Porter- Camenker [YT (Right Wing Watch)]
Ooh, the documents and visual aids make us sound so scary. Or as the SPLC calls them: Exhibits A-E in why we put Brian an Co. on our hate groups list.
Take back America? It seems to us that the microphone and the invite were at least two of the things the organizers of this event should've taken back if they hoped to drum up even a scintilla of positive, mainstream PR!
*Another clip of Brian, as well as one from hi co-speaker at the "countering the homosexual extremist movement" seminar, Matt Barber:
Your thoughts
Lord hammercy, sweet Jesus. I'm posting this tomorrow with the question headline - THIS IS OUR OPPOSITION?
Anyone who looks at these videos deserves an award.

....and then, they told them that's it's "okay" to be transexual!
Audience: gasp!
Re:matt barber
When a object presses another the force at the surface presses equally against both objects. It's not like newton's cradle.
Bad, bad analogy.

Also, matt, in the UK we don't have "don't ask don't tell", and I can promise they don't enter into outrageous orgies every day, no matter how hard I plead.

What is a homosexual extremist? am I one? wait....I think I am

Continuing on John's thoughts....yeah, I wonder what makes one a GLBT "extremist"? Basically, is it anyone who doesn't duck and cover, keeping their fingers crossed that they won't be fired if some nosy douche comes across their online personal ad or a Facebook account that lists them as "lesbian" or "bisexual" (recall the bus driver in GA who was fired over his Bear411 profile)? Is it anyone who doesn't remain celibate till their dying day, or, failing that, marries a man/woman in order to keep up appearances? Should we oppose research on an HIV vaccine for the same reason people are nervous about Guardasil, on the grounds that it will give carte blanche approval to unrestrained sexual activity (C'mon, you KNOW it's coming)? Should we tell kids that if they didn't act so goddamned fruity, then maybe they wouldn't get beat up at school?
Maybe I don't have to ask, because I think I pretty much spelled it out. So, in conclusion: get to work, queers! It's bad enough that Lawrence v. Texas turned out the way it did, and yet we keep pushing the goddamned envelope. For shame.
