Audio: BOBbin' for apples, finding rights-stripping razor within

by Jeremy Hooper

In this clip, you'll have to tune out the excess clamor and racket in order to get to the truth.

Oh, and you might have to tune out the background noise too:

Most ridiculous claim comes right upfront (around 2:17 mark):

"I think that's it's scary when the state starts deciding and determining who people are in love with. The state has no interest in such things. So to build a law upon the state acknowledging who loves who and whether people are committed to one another is just wrong"

Let's think about this for a second. This is a man who is using his personal faith views to say that the state can only support opposite-gender love. And he keeps referring to that twelve-year-old statute that speaks exclusively to so-called "traditional marriage," as if it's the Gospel. Bob's entire case is built around the idea that the state should only acknowledge those who love someone of the opposite sex, in a committed, monogamous relationship. And yet he's turning around and saying the state is "wrong" for making determinations on who has the right to have their loving commitments recognized by civil law?! Hello, hypocrisy, my name is Emrich.

Your thoughts

Sometimes I have to wonder if these people actually believe the words that are coming out of their mouths.
