Family Research Council officially out-gays us
When looking at the Family Research Council's website, as it looks today...
(highlighting our own)
[FRC]
...we have to wonder: At what point is a non-profit contractually bound to change their name to more accurately repredent their Anti-Certain-Kinds-of-Families agenda? Isn't that in the tax code or something?
Your thoughts
I notice that Tony Perkins (sorry, Tony Perkins, actor - it's a shame this one shares your name) very much resembles Kevin (sorry, Kevin - that's such a slap in the face to you) - - it would be funny if the FRC Tony was mistaken for Kevin by his own "kind" and treated like he treats anyone not like him!

The "Don't cry for homosexual couples" is one of their weakest arguments to date. They claim that only 5% of male couples and 22% of female couples are raising kids, so they dismiss the NYT piece because their hypothetical couple does not represent the average New York State gay couple.
What absolute morons. The whole point of marriage is to create *options* for couples - many of which make it easier to raise children! Has FRC stopped to think that a) there might be more gay couples raising kids if they could afford to, and b) the whole point of the article was to estimate the net tax impact on a gay couple trying to replicate a typical straight relationship?
PS: I do enjoy the irony that FRC is upset that only a small percentage of gay couples are raising kids.

DN, I enjoy irony as much as the next guy, but the FRC is pushing it to a new limit. Mr. Jenning's primary focus is anti-bullying, and the FRC is trying to bully him into resigning.

There is horrible footage of a 16 year old boy being beaten to death by three other kids in his school.
There was a similar incident in Australia where a 15 year old was beaten to death during lunch break. Apparently, rivalry for tables has grown around that area.
This webpage from FRC is less about saving children and youth from violating EACH OTHER this way, and more about gay people and how much everyone is and should fear and loathe them.
This webpage is less about how to address declining family cohesion due to factors like domestic violence, addiction and debt...but make it ALL about how a gay man shouldn't be the head of an org for safe schools.
FRC apparently doesn't do the work of creating safer schools at all.
The ones without a better idea (which would be FRC) for dealing with school bullying that has taken young lives should be the ones to sit down and STFU!
