Straight allies: Are you ready to help us out yet?
Dear "pro-family" conservatives: Don't you DARE tell us that there are no connections between the way some of you deny our marriages and the way some people have denied interracial unions:
HAMMOND, La. – A Louisiana justice of the peace said he refused to issue a marriage license to an interracial couple out of concern for any children the couple might have. Keith Bardwell, justice of the peace in Tangipahoa Parish, says it is his experience that most interracial marriages do not last long.

We don't even have to connect the dots of bias. That work has been done for us. We simply have to pay attention, and implore others to do the same.

I can't believe people still think they can get away with the phrase "I'm not racist/homophobic, I have lots of black/gay friends." I'd like to meet the person who was stupid enough to fall for that, if s/he even exists.
