WOW! If only Karen Armstrong ruled the world!

This is apparently from an atheist or agnostic forum. Good Comments follow it.
I agree mostly with those who admit that religion is a purely societal construct...
and is indoctrinated in the young who accept or reject this indoctrination...

but agree with this too: "If on the other hand, we try to look at each of our religious faiths as different flavors of the same core truth, it becomes much easier to co-exist with people of different faiths.
It is only the dogma of religion that we will need to battle. It is only in doing so do we evolve in our understanding for religion. The Golden Rule is the core tenet of Universalism.. look it up if you don't like your religion but need another one.

Thanks for posting this, I just love Karen Armstrong. I've read almost all of her books and agree that she should rule the world!

Truly an "idea worth spreading."

Now, if she could get it through the fundies heads that they need to understand the scientific method before shooting off their mouths and getting in other people's business, we would have something accomplished.
