Video: DisCrimination with a capital DC

by Jeremy Hooper

Yesterday in New York, this writer and his husband did a little grocery shopping, looked for a Halloween costume for the doggie, laughed a lot, and then capped off the weekend with a particularly good episode of "Mad Men" (Joan = awesome).

Meanwhile in the District of Columbia, pastors like this guy were busy telling anyone who would listen that gay folk are "evil":

Pastor Matt Anderson @ The Peoples Rally in DC [YT]

Gross.

Although we really have to wonder about the efficacy of this sign:

Doesn't this actually tell people to not say No? That's what we're going with

****

*RELATED: Today in DC, there will be a public hearing on the topic (marriage, not the proper placement of slash marks on top of the word "no"). At 3:30PM Eastern time, you can go to this site to watch the hearing play out live before your very equality-loving eyes.

Your thoughts

What is it with pastors named Anderson lately?

Right Wing Watch is posting more footage from the event on their Youtube page: http://www.youtube.com/user/RightWingWatchdotorg

The latest is an Imam saying that same sex marriage will lead to the extermination of the human race.

Why don't these "holy" people in "Jesus' name" found their own country - Uganda might be a good start - they could keep out the gays - they can send Uganda's gays to US (it would be just like the holocaust if they tried to kill all of us here - they have NO IDEA how many we are - and I fear they have no shame of killing different people) - we'll keep this corrupt and immoral country and we'll see which of the two survive with God's help!

Bonnie_Half-Elven, I get periodic emails from a scientific publication about optics (of all things), and the guy who sends it to me is Steven Anderson - obviously a different one, but it sends shivers down my spine for a second, every time I see an email in my box from Steven Anderson. Interesting marketing potential, though... send your promotional emails using the name of a notorious (infamous/famous/or in Anderson's case: ignoble) personality - might get more attention as a result??

Come on people. 150 people out of 600,000 residents? And those were bussed in from MD and VA? The NOM, Bishit Harry and the other bigoted creeps who showed up for this circle jerk are insane with religion and have no idea what the DC Human Rights Act states and don't care.
