NEW JERSEY: Pick up a phone. Now. No excuses. NOW! Go. Facebook will be there when you get back.
Folks, if you don't think that the National Organization For Marriage had a deleterious effect on the New York Senate's support for marriage bias, then you are more deluded than our opposition's anti-equality mission itself. But guess what? We have a chance to redeem ourselves and beat our indefatigable foes at their own games!
How? Well, NOM is up to their ignoble games again in New Jersey, a state where they were launched (off the backs of the New Jersey Family Policy Council's donor list). But fortunately, Maggie Gallagher and Brian Brown's unprincipled endeavors have saved us some time. Below you will find the call to arms that they are sending around to their troops, slightly altered to serve our fair-minded purposes:
The first step is to contact the Senate Judiciary Committee right now.
Here’s what I need you to do!
1) Call the members of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Urge them to vote NO YES on the same-sex marriage bill. A lame duck session is no time Anytime is the time to push through advance a same-sex marriage bill that has been too controversial for unfairly delayed by the legislature to touch for the past four years.
Sen. Paul Sarlo (Chair): (201) 804-8118
Sen. John Girgenti (Vice-Chair): (973) 427-1229
Sen. Bill Baroni: (609) 631-9988
Sen. Christopher Bateman: (908) 526-3600
Sen. Jennifer Beck: (732) 933-1591
Sen. Gerard Cardinale: (201) 567-2324
Sen. Nia Gill: (973) 509-0388
Sen. Joseph Kyrillos: (732) 671-3206
Sen. Raymond Lesnick: (908) 624-0880
Sen. Nicholas Scutari: (908) 587-0404
Sen. Bob Smith: (732) 752-0770
Sen. Brian Stack: (201) 861-5091
Sen. Loretta Weinberg: (201) 928-0100
Thanks NOM!
CALL NOW, folks. Then send an email to every New Jerseyan you know and have them contact their own senators! This sort of thing makes a huge difference. And after last week, we NEED to do whatever we can to wipe the gloating smirks off of one of the most personally hurtful, publicly discriminatory organizations that America has ever known.

All mailboxes are full at 8:38AM. Hopefully the flying monkeys didn't fill the voice mail up with their hate.

Out of all the numbers listed, I spoke to 2 people. All voice mailboxes were full. I did call Brian Stack a few weeks ago about this issue though.
