Video: Kathie Lee on the final hour (Today's and America's?)
We've heard this quote used to decry the gay community more times than we count, from groups as extreme as Operation Save America. So you'll have to forgive us, Kathie Lee Gifford, if we raise a Botoxed eyebrow at your choice to use it on national television as some sort of comfort for Haitians:
Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy
Uhm. So wait. Huh?! In what way is this a positive quote? The obvious (and only?) implication for a Biblical literalist is that sinful America has it coming, which is how it is always used by evangelical Christians. So what is Gifford's point? How exactly does this apply to Haiti?!?! How is this quip at all hopeful? And who was KLG's friend, Pat Robertson?
Oh well. Bring on the man shirtless candy...
Ridiculous.
Your thoughts
To be fair, she was probably on her fourth or fifth mai tai by then, and I know that *I* personally say some regrettable things at that stage, too.

If there's supposed to be a video there, there isn't, just a blank area.

Priya: Must be a problem on your end. Video works on all my comps, in all my browsers.

Weird nihilistic religious quote transitioning into man candy...yep, that's Kathie Lee & Hoda.

I make it a point to change the channel when Kathie Lee comes on. I'll watch maybe if Piers Morgan is filling in when she's in dry dock. But this woman is an idiot and why they put her back on TV is an embarrassment. Then again it is NBC...
