Oh, just own up to it, Petie! YOU and NOM, et al. just don't want us being portrayed as heroic figures and as role models! Hey, the Sacred Band of Thebes was one of the FIERCEST armies in the world and was only finally defeated by Alexander the Great and his dad, Philip of Macedon!

Sad that he doesn't mention that about 15 of the 20-some NATO countries (our allies) allow Gays to serve openly! Why should the US be LESS progressive when we USED to lead the world in other progressive movements! Hell, there are open public advertisements directed towards the Gay community, such as on TV and on billboards--say, Verizon--that you would NEVER see publicized here, but in specialty niche markets, like magazines! (That's always offended me)

However, the new recruits who might have to have their "attitudes adjusted" is a GOOD thing! Doesn't he think this goes on when one goes to COLLEGE even in a college TOWN, like where *I* went (which it does, FYI)?! But, it's just sad that he's pitting Christians (his "people of faith") against a progressive culture! How much ya' wanna' bet that, if Europeans were flooding the US again with their progressive values re: sex. drugs and Gays they would be, all, like, "We gotta' get those Europeans OUTTA' here!"

Since this has come up I've been kinda staking Peter by asking him why Israel (The Holy Land)has no issue with openly gay soldiers - but we should.

What I found funny was when he said the homosexualiztion of the military was already taken place because some military vehicles had pro equity bumper sticker - unbelievable!

Ah, yes, the verbing of America - "homosexualize"?

And we also learned that Elaine Donnelly has apparently replaced Aaron Neville as a National Treasure.

With any more of Petey's inane rhetoric the aliens may just turn us all directly over to the Vogons.

Some of Pete's assertions about who joins the military are curious. I did some checking and I wonder where he gets his facts. It seems the 1st and 2nd highest ranking states are Montana, Oregon and Nevada comes in at third. These are not states that fit the description Peter claims. He says folks in the military are from rural states, small towns with traditional values yet the numbers don't match that claim. Nevada, a state with legal prostitution whose main revenue is gambling is rural? Traditional values? Rural maybe in sections either way...Oregon is a very progressive state. These are Number 2 and 3 in the ranks...

He also claims there are not as many from big cities. I have found no evidence to support this claim. I have found anything to say it isn't true and yet, Peter made the claims and has the burden of proof. (not thinking we will get any)
