Elton John's reworked version of 'Philadelphia Freedom' staved off for now
By an 8-6 vote, the Pennsylvania state Senate Judiciary Committee voted down a marriage equality ban:

Good news, obviously. But still, as long as we live in a country where anti-American bullsh*t like this can come even this close to advancement, we're still in a less-than-okay state of affairs.
