Dr. George Rekers: 34 years of 'curing' gays/lesbians/'travel assistants'
All over this here web, there's all sorts of info about Dr. George Rekers and the help he apparently needs with his baggage. So we're not going to rehash it here.
We are, however, going to give you some background into why this bizarre development is of such note to modern-day gay rights activists. Primarily it's because anyone who has lived as an openly LGBT person in the past four decades has been subjected to Dr. Reker's hurtful, anti-scientific teachings. They are teachings that have shaped the whole of the "ex-gay" movement:
