Video: A class dismissed
We've already told you about Tammy Schulz, the Illinois mom who Focus on the Family is turning into their latest citizen martyr. Now this:
"Normalizing homosexuality." When you use those two words, you automatically invalidate the idea that you're working to protect all students and families equally! Period. End of story. Put down your pencils and hand in your exam books.
The truth: Focus on the Family wants to implant their blind eyes into all the world's heads, so that the clear and present problem of LGBT-specific bullying will be passively (and negligently) overlooked, the same way that it has for so many generations already. And although evangelicals have long enjoyed their religious identities being protected in a specific way, the faith-based "culture warriors" at FOtF want you to believe that protections targeted towards LGBT people are some sort of egregious misstep that would set new precedent. DON'T. BUY. IT. Their bark is biteless; their spark is fizzling.
