Video: Even FOtF sees why gay-obsessed Vander Plaats lost?

by Jeremy Hooper

Focus on the Family really needs to find one page and stick to it. Because just yesterday, FOtF's Jenny Tyree was using her heavy hand to say that an exit poll of Republican primary voters proves that "Americans agree: Marriage deserves a vote." Yet at the same time, Jenny's superior, Tom "gay SCOTUS nominees are 'non-starters'" Minnery, was coming right out and admitting that among Christian conservatives, even in places like Iowa, "the message of cutting taxes [and] shrinking government exceeds even the important social issue of marriage."

Start the clip at 11:20:

So which is it? Are Americans from coast to coast spending their days stewing over their inability to vote on their neighbor's civil rights, or are even the less-than-gay-friendly among us starting to realize that this whole equality thing is less of the issue/problem/societal destructor that groups like FOtF have made it out to be? Are voters demanding that their candidates spend time on this (non-)matter, or is the rhetorical expenditure finally starting to look as antiquated, hostile, borderline theocratical, and downright discriminatory as it truly is? Is Focus on the Family starting to get it, or are they going to drag their feet, kicking and screaming all the way to nationwide marriage equality's inevitable inauguration?

Pass the popcorn.
