Video: For yet another year, SBC provides yang to Pride Month's yin
We all know that the Southern Baptist Convention would sooner cancel Christmas than they would recognize LGBT people as part of our world's shared normalcy. But this year the SBC went even further than the usual inner-church gay bans and blanket condemnations of supposed immorality, extending their on-record animus to political opposition to both the Employment Nondiscrimination Act and Don't Ask Don't Tell repeal.

What is there even to say about this? We seek it, they'll do what they can to stop it. And countless kids and loved ones of these SBC "messengers" will continue to wonder why, exactly, a God granted so many Southerners a life of constant smug and self-congratulatory back pats for being born in certain kinds of bodies and beliefs, yet left so many others out in the cruel cold.

**NOTE: According to the Family Research Council, their own Dr. Kenyn Cureton is responsible for making this happen. In fact, they say that the ENDA resolution relied on draft language from FRC.
