#VVS10: A Primer

by Jeremy Hooper

VVS10The Family Research Council's 2010 Values Voters Summit will begin in just a few minutes, and we plan to bring you as much of it as we can. But in the meantime: Here is some pre-reading to prep you for what you might see:

- FRC relating their event to the signing of the constitution: We the People of the FRC, in order to form a more perfect fundraising pitch... [G-A-Y]

- The 17 candidates in FRC's presidential straw poll: And by *straw* poll, they mean 'one that could easily facilitate gays' suckage' [G-A-Y]

- Regarding the Duggars' appearance: The Duggars: Seemingly nice people mixed up with a demonstrably gay-hostile movement [G-A-Y]

- Alvin McEwen's take on the Summit and Christine O'Donnell's appearance at it: Shouldn't being a 'Values Voter' involve having decent values? [HB&HM]

- The latest from uber-incendiary #VVS10 speaker Bryan Fischer, plus a roundup of some of his nuttiest: Religious freedom, American Family Association style [G-A-Y]

- The clips where FRC's Peter Sprigg (who is leading a breakout session on marriage equality) suggests that gays should be either criminalized or exported from the U.S.

- FRC prez Tony Perkins talking about gays and other progressives are "being held captive by the enemy": My take: Tony Perkins' captive assault on gays' inner beings [G-A-Y]

- Archives from the past few years: Values Voters Archive [G-A-Y]
