Christine O'Donnell: Another glimpse into 'Hormel is a pedophile' legacy
Via some B-roll that ran under a recent Christian Broadcasting Network interview with Delaware's Republican contender for U.S. Senate, Christine O'Donnell, we get another glimpse into the late '90's politicking that the now-candidate waged against openly gay ambassador James Hormel. Here's a grab:
[SOURCE]
Yup, that's right: She stood right in front of a sign reading "Pedophiles Go To Jail Not Luxembourg," part of the Christian right's deeply hurtful, maliciously slanderous attempts to, among other things, paint Hormel as a child molester because of a simple donation that the historic appointee made to the San Francisco Public Library:
The "pedophilia thing" was based on Hormel's donation of $500,000 to the San Francisco Public Library to establish a gay studies center. The center's collection includes material from the notorious North American Man-Boy Love Association and other literature that people find objectionable, but much of the same material can also be found at the Library of Congress. More to the point, Hormel says, he played no role in choosing the contents of the collection: "I had nothing to do with their selection, nor would I ever presume to tell a library what books it should or shouldn't carry.

And this isn't even the same press conference that we saw in the other archival snapshot, so it's clear that Christine's involvement in this smear campaign wasn't a one time thing. She seems to have played a key role in this dangerous deception -- front and center far-right.
Though really, our big question: What do we think was on her sign? Perhaps a timely warning about the year 2000:
Or maybe advocacy for her favorite John Travolta/Kirstie Alley/talking baby movie:
Or maybe more insight into her pro-abstinence views:
Or maybe details about the witchy way she planned to oppose Hormel:
Could be anything. Guess the only way for us to find out is for CBN (or some other outlet) to release the newsworthy footage! Considering Christine is a simple vote away from the U.S. Senate, this is one Hormel by-product that should not be written off as Spam!
