The only dream we need to follow is the American one
We actually agree with conservative court watcher Ed Whelan here:
Ed Whelan, constitutional attorney and president of Ethics and Public Policy Center, said the end-game has always been to have the U.S. Supreme Court rule on same-sex marriage.
βThe hope that one can have (should this happen),β Whelan said, β(is to) get at least five (Supreme Court) justices to reject the invention of a right to same-sex marriage.β

Because we should all reject a theoretical court that would *invent* a right to marriage equality. After all, there is no need for such invention, since a right to full civil marriage equality under the law already fully exists! All we need is at least five SCOTUS justices who will support equal protection and due process for ALL Americans.
So yes, Mr. Whelan: We'll totally join you in rejecting a world where Ruth Bader Ginsburg authors a piece of fiction that cites Heather Has Two Mommies as precedent, or where Anthony Kennedy composes a dramatic swing vote symphony with some sort of activist gavel. The 14th amendment is inventive enough.
