There's one person playing race cards and it's Maggie Gallagher

by Jeremy Hooper

In light of the news that Maryland Delegate Sam Arora, an announced sponsor of the marriage equality bill, is considering switching to a "no" vote, Maggie Gallagher has resorted to a truly galling tactic:

MAGGIE: “Secondly, as someone married to an Indian-American, I find it interesting that the gay marriage machine appears to be re-focusing its attacks from Black Democrats who oppose gay marriage to an easier target: Indian-Americans.”
Maggie Gallagher Accuses Maryland Gays Of Racism Against Arora [New Civil Rights Movement]

Appalling. None of us who've been watching Maryland have focused on anyone's race, ethnicity, national origin, etc. Obviously. It feels weird even having to say that the sole focus -- THE SOLE FOCUS. -- has been on the votes. The negotiating. The politics. And in the case of Arora: A shocking turnaround, most vocally from real-life friends like Karl Frisch. How dare Maggie suggest otherwise? And without even a scintilla of evidence to back her claim? It's seriously jaw-dropping.

But go ahead, Maggie, you keep focusing on the pigmentation levels of human skin. By doing so, you've proven yourself the one willing to go beyond the pale.

*We've been noting stuff like this from Maggie for some time. Like when she pitted "white liberal" Jerry Brown against California's African-American population.
