Basic fairness and equal rights: Chair of NY Independence Party declares allegiance
Another marriage equality endorsement in NY, this time from Frank MacKay, the leader of the state's third largest political party:
NY, N.Y. — The chairman of New York's Independence Party says he's personally supporting the legalization of gay marriage.

Key, because in New York State, the Independence Party is larger than the conservative Party (which opposes us, obv.). And in a reality where we need every single senate vote up for grabs, every single dropped excuse or roadblock that might have otherwise tripped up a moderate "aye" is a dropped obstacle worth celebrating.
