Gays have a 'deathstyle', 'effeminate' 17-year-olds deserve mockery: The unspoken subtext of today's NY City Hall rally
In just a matter of minutes, a coalition of "pro-family" groups will rally on the steps of New York City Hall, in hopes of stopping the undeniable momentum:
New York City, NY - Today, at 12:00 PM, influential Christian bishops and clergy members will be on the steps of New York City Hall to deliver a rebuttal to Mayor Bloomberg regarding his recent push for legalizing same-sex marriage.
...
[Organizer Joseph Mattera] said, "We have a Governor with a live-in girlfriend and an unmarried mayor both trying to redefine the sacred institution of marriage for the rest of New York."
This event will include a diverse, multi-ethnic, multi-denominational group of clergy associations and denominations including CONLICO, Christ Covenant Coalition, Empire Baptist Missionary Convention, Alliance Defense Fund, Concerned Citizens of New York, Converge Lead Team, International Communion of Evangelical Churches, Long Island Evangelical Association, Long Island Hispanic Pastoral Association, Mission New York, National Organization for Marriage, New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms, Staten Island Evangelical Association, and Tri-State LIFE Team.

So that being the case, we just want to remind you of some of the truly eye-opening things that Mr. Mattera has put on the record:
- NYC 'protect marriage' rally organizer pushes shockingly offensive lies about 'pro-gay' Hitler [G-A-Y]
- NYC 'protect marriage' rally organizer: Gays must be stopped because everyone's a little gay [G-A-Y]
- NYC rally organizer: Gay acceptance is one of the 'five things the devil wants you to believe' [G-A-Y]
At today's rally, you surely won't hear him mocking a 17-year-old or connecting gays to Hitler. But it will be there in spirit. Everyone should know that.
*ALSO: Sadly, the crew has recruited former NY Giants star David Tyree to show up:
Additionally, David Tyree, will appear at the event. Tyree is a committed Christian and active community leader, but he is perhaps best remembered as the New York Giants Wide Receiver who made that memorable helmet catch that led to the Giants' win in Superbowl XLII.
Tyree said, "I believe in marriage as God originally intended, between one man and one woman. My position may not be popular in some circles, but I care more about marriage and family than my reputation."
