NOM's battle plan: Four years to radically redefine the institution of NY
NOM expounds on the plan to rid New York of its majority-backed, joyously welcomed new nuptials. Operation: Slap Empire Gays in The Face will go like this:
PHASE 1:
Elect pro-marriage majorities next November that will approve a marriage amendment in both the Assembly and Senate during the 2013 legislative session.
PHASE 2:
Protect pro-marriage candidates in the 2014 elections, so that the amendment can receive final legislative approval in the 2015 legislative session.
PHASE 3:
Successfully pass the ballot measure when it goes before voters in November 2015.

And then, of course, would come PHASE 4: Cause an all-out revolt from New York's rich and vibrant LGBT (and supportive) communities, who would never stand for a four-years-later, uber-cruel devaluation of their lives and loves and citizenships. That one will surely be good for tourism.
Or hey, here's an idea, NOM: Stop, take a breath, consider that you don't have all the answers, and actually get to know a wedding-bound same-sex couple or two. You may find, NOMmers, that no future PHASES are actually needed for this, a benign offering that should FAZE no one.
