About those NOM mailers: Even more historically offensive than you realized

Yes, that's right: The image they picked is of the world's most famous traitor quite literally watching human beings die while an American town was destroyed. People dying and buildings burning while a man who betrayed is country stands in stoic watch: That is what they're directly comparing to the loving, fair recognition of certain American citizens' civil rights and the legislative support thereof.
Yet *we're* the ones disrespecting America and her principles?
